Details for how I created each sound effect
Sound effect #1:
-
Record the sound of text messages being sent (via iPhone)
-
In audition, I went to effect --> time and pitch
-
I went to pitch bender and I lowered the pitch all the way down.
-
I then cut out all of the slight pauses.
-
Finally, I looped the edited audio
Sound effect #2:
-
Record the sound of a microwave beeping.
-
Cut the length of the sound down.
-
In audition, I went to effects --> time and pitch --> stretch and pitch.
-
I then modified the stretch and pitch.
-
I then went to effects --> modulation --> flanger.
-
I then changed the modulation rate to 10, the delay time to 15, and changed the mix to 60% wet.
-
Finally, I looped the edited sound effect.
Sound effect #3:
-
Record the sound of me typing on a keyboard
-
In audition, I went to effects --> modulation --> phaser.
-
I changed the feedback to 90% and the mix to 100%.
-
I then went to effects --> time and pitch --> pitch shifter.
-
From there I changed the semi-tones to -12 and the cents to 100%
-
Finally I shortened the length of the sound.
Sound effect #4:
-
Record the sound of me turning off a lamp.
-
In audition, I went to effects --> time and pitch --> pitch bender.
-
There I lowered the pitch.
-
Then in audition, I went to effects --> time and pitch --> stretch and pitch.
-
There I stretched the sound to about 60%
-
Then I cut majority of the silence.
-
Finally, I looped the edited sound.
Sound effect #5:
-
Record the sound of me crinkling a plastic water bottle.
-
In audition, go to effects --> modulation --> flanger.
-
From there, I changed the preset of it to synthetic yo-yo.
-
Then I changed the modulation rate to 12.
-
Then I checked off the special effect and sinusoidal boxes in that category.
-
Finally, I cut parts of the audio I didn't want.
