Details for how I created each sound effect

Sound effect #1:

  1. Record the sound of text messages being sent (via iPhone)

  2. In audition, I went to effect --> time and pitch

  3. I went to pitch bender and I lowered the pitch all the way down.

  4. I then cut out all of the slight pauses.

  5. Finally, I looped the edited audio

Sound effect #2:

  1. Record the sound of a microwave beeping.

  2. Cut the length of the sound down.

  3. In audition, I went to effects --> time and pitch --> stretch and pitch.

  4. I then modified the stretch and pitch.

  5. I then went to effects --> modulation --> flanger.

  6.  I then changed the modulation rate to 10, the delay time to 15, and changed the mix to 60% wet.

  7. Finally, I looped the edited sound effect.

Sound effect #3:

  1. Record the sound of me typing on a keyboard

  2. In audition, I went to effects --> modulation --> phaser.

  3. I changed the feedback to 90% and the mix to 100%.

  4. I then went to effects --> time and pitch --> pitch shifter.

  5. From there I changed the semi-tones to -12 and the cents to 100%

  6. Finally I shortened the length of the sound.

Sound effect #4:

  1. Record the sound of me turning off a lamp.

  2. In audition, I went to effects --> time and pitch --> pitch bender.

  3. There I lowered the pitch.

  4. Then in audition, I went to effects --> time and pitch --> stretch and pitch.

  5. There I stretched the sound to about 60%

  6. Then I cut majority of the silence.

  7. Finally, I looped the edited sound.

Sound effect #5:

  1. Record the sound of me crinkling a plastic water bottle.

  2. In audition, go to effects --> modulation --> flanger.

  3. From there, I changed the preset of it to synthetic yo-yo.

  4. Then I changed the modulation rate to 12.

  5. Then I checked off the special effect and sinusoidal boxes in that category.

  6. Finally, I cut parts of the audio I didn't want.
